Groupe Auguste Comte d’Orléans – Chennevières-sur-Marne
This document is part of the consultation phase following the October 2025 call for bids for the renovation project of the Auguste Comte d’Orléans housing complex in Chennevières-sur-Marne/Champigny-sur-Marne, carried out in collaboration with the social housing provider Paris Habitat. This crucial phase involves refining and defending the architectural and technical choices before the client prior to the final award of the contract.
The overall architectural intent is based on the concept of “thickening and enriching the envelope” of the existing building. The project calls for a major renovation of the facades, while preserving the original grid (division into three volumes and the unity of the five stories). This transformation takes the form of three complementary elements: vertical greening on trellises to soften the building’s appearance, the emphasis on a modular grid through new added balconies, and a focus on horizontal lines and sun protection through the integration of sunshades and adapted loggias.
